Tricel ESB Electric Meter Box & Door 2024 New Spec

The Tricel Electric Meter Box & Door 106216 is the updated Irish-standard meter enclosure designed to meet the revised ESB Networks specification for domestic electricity meter installations.

Introduced as the new specification for 2024, the enclosure incorporates an approved Composite SMC Fire Retardant backboard in place of the timber backboard used in the previous generation. The enhanced materials provide improved fire performance, durability and sustainability.

The meter box is manufactured from durable composite material suitable for outdoor use and is designed to accommodate ESB domestic metering equipment. Tricel states that the new SMC materials are designed to provide a minimum product lifetime of 40+ years.

The new specification complies with the relevant ESB Specification 16442 and IEC 62208:2011 requirements for empty enclosures for low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies.
