This Yale remote keypads can be used to Fully arm or part set (Home arming mode) and dis-arm Yale home security alarms.

The cover of the keypad closes to protect and hide the removable part of the keypad. By removing the keypad it can then be used as a handheld remote also includes panic buttons for attracting attention in an emergancy.
