How long does delivery take?

Delivery time can vary greatly due to a number of factors. At present we are grateful to be receiving a huge number of online orders, in particular since the Covid-19 restrictions were implemented. Orders are processed in turn and we are doing our utmost to get deliveries out in a safe and timely manner. Many orders are received the next working day but we ask people to expect long delays and hope for better! Delays are due to several key factors but mainly due to:

1. Delays in receiving orders in to us.
Many of our regular suppliers are closed or operating under reduced hours so there are understandable time delays in us receiving orders into stock.

2. The huge number of orders leads to delays.
There are only so many orders which can be processed in a day. We know we could not ask more in terms of effort from our staff and are thankful to them for their efforts.

3. Staff safety.
We need to follow social distancing and best practice to ensure safety of staff while working. In normal times lots of orders means lots of staff but it’s not that simple at the moment. The safety of staff and their families is the number one priority at the moment. It takes time to pick pack and securely seal items before they leave us to make sure they arrive with you safely.

4. Pressure on couriers.
Our courier partners are doing exceptional work in dealing with the increased volume of orders from us and other online businesses. It is entirely understandable that they are not guaranteeing next day delivery but commendable that so many of our deliveries that leave with them are received the next day.

If I order for collection, how soon can I collect my order?

If you order for collection, please wait until you have received a text or email from us ensuring your items are in stock and ready. Also, please be sure to leave a relevent phone number when placing your order. We will get your order ready as quickly as possible but there may be a large amount of orders received and it takes some time to pick orders.

Certain larger items may not be held in stock and may be ordered to the store for collection. Other items may run low in stock in store but still be showing live stock on the website while stock levels are waiting to be replenished.

As soon as you receive confirmation that your order is ready, collection can be made in our store at your convenience. We are located in Expert Hardware Crumlin Village, 6 St. Agnes Road, Crumlin Village, Dublin 12. We are open Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 6.00pm (excluding Bank Holidays).

Do you deliver oustide of Ireland?

We deliver outside of Ireland, to Britain, across Europe and beyond. The cost of postage depends on the destination and weight of the product. This can be broken down into the following areas:

The United Kingdom
Delivery of up to 5kg costs €8
Delivery of up to 10kg costs €15
Delivery of up to 20kg max costs €20

Mainland Europe (Eg: Spain, France, Germany, Belgium etc)
The first kilogram costs €15
Each additional kg costs €2

The USA
The first kilogram costs €18
Each additional item costs €2.50

The Rest of Europe (EG: Romania, Greece, eastern European Countries etc)
The first Kilogram costs €23
Each additional kg costs €5

The Rest of the World
The first kilogram costs €25
Each additional kg costs €6

Are other sizes available than what is listed on the website?

From our retail store we can source different sizes of listed products. Please get in touch with the details of the product and size you require.

Why is there sometimes a difference between prices in-store and online?

There may be a difference in price between an item purchased in-store and on the website. The main reasons for this would be stock holding and delivery. All the online prices are subject to a delivery charge and to offset this may be a little less expensive. This can be achieved by the reduced stock holding involved in having an online shop.

Are bulk discounts available?

Depending on stock availabilty and the nature of the product a bulk discount may be applicable. If you request multiple quantities of one of our products please contact us for a quote.
